Congratulations to 2026 graduates in Native American and Indigenous Studies!

We celebrate the accomplishments of Max Brody, Carlyle Cornell, and Jasmine Guaillasaca Quizhpi, new graduates from Penn this month with minors in Native American and Indigenous Studies!

Carlyle Cornell earned a major in Economics and a minor in Native and Indigenous Studies. She did a capstone project with Prof. Tina Fragoso on Native regalia and costume. Carlyle is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. 

Jasmine Guaillasaca Quizhpi earned a major in Latin American and Latinx Studies, a major in History, and a major in Hispanic studies, as well as a minor Native American and Indigenous studies and a minor in Africana Studies. She was on a team of student curators of the "Entre Mundos" exhibit at the Penn Museum. She is from Irvington, New Jersey, and also served at co-chair of the Quechua@Penn Board. 

Maxfield Brody earned Majors in Compariative LIterature and in English, in addition to a Minor in Native and Indigenous Studies and a minor in Chemistry. He spent his senior year as a Wolf Humaniites Fellow, with a project "Crazed, Physchotic and ... Desperate? Prototypes of "The Sick Woman Theory" in 20th Century and Literature. He came to Penn from Bethany, Oklahoma.
