Indigenous Insight to Conflict, Healing and Peace

The Peace Center in Langhorne, PA sponsors an evening talk and an experiential weekend with gkisedtanamoogk (pronounced gis–ed–tan–a–mook), one of five Commissioners on the Maine Wabanaki State Child Welfare Truth and Reconciliation Commission. He is an adjunct professor and lecturer with the Native American Studies and Peace and Reconciliation Programs at the University of Maine.

A truth and reconciliation commission (TRC) was formed to address the conflict between the state of Maine and the Wabanaki and Passamaquoddy people. Learn how a process adopted from South Africa laid the foundation for resolution, understanding and healing.
