Istmo y Vos Presents Central American Film Series
Join Istmo y Vos for this cultural film series. Each event will have an introduction, screening, and a a discussion portion. The next film shown will be Dreaming Nicaragua. Each film will be available to be checked out from La Casa Latina at a later date, as well.
A brief background on the film and the country's history will be given in order to provide some contextualization for the film. There are going to be "While You're Watching" questions to keep in mind as well as some background information on the country depicted. The screening will start approximately 10 minutes after the expected 8:00 pm start time each Sunday. Please come prepared to be in this event for a while, since the full films wil be screened.
After the film, we will invite all who attend to join us for a short discussion about what was seen in the film and its historical and social relevance to the country depicted. A list of questions to discuss will be posted to our website.
