Carly Griffith Hotvedt to Speak on Food Sovereignty at Penn's Vet School

Join Penn Vet in welcoming Carly Griffith Hotvedt (Cherokee ), JD, MPA, Interim Executive Director of the Indigenous Food and Agriculture Initiative (IFAI) of the University of Arkansas to Penn! Carly is a seasoned legal professional working in government law, agriculture, tribal policy and public administration. Her work with IFAI interfaces with tribes and tribal organizations to advance tribal food sovereignty through economic development, investment, outreach and regulation. Carly engages in significant outreach to advance Native rights, representation and equity, and this is her third visit to UPenn to support Penn Vet’s One Health and Global Food Security course.
