Workshop on Indigenous Truth and Reconciliation

The Peace Center in Langhorne, PA sponsors an an experiential session with gkisedtanamoogk (pronounced gis–ed–tan–a–mook), one of five Commissioners on the Maine Wabanaki State Child Welfare Truth and Reconciliation Commission. He is an adjunct professor and lecturer with the Native American Studies and Peace and Reconciliation Programs at the University of Maine. 

A truth and reconciliation commission (TRC) was formed to address the conflict between the state of Maine and the Wabanaki and Passamaquoddy people. Learn how a process adopted from South Africa laid the foundation for resolution, understanding and healing.
