The Penn Museum's Native North American Gallery opened in November 2025 after years of collaboration with 4 teams of Native Consulting Curators. Created in collaboration with that team of artists, historians, activitists and scholars, the gallery spans 13,000 years of Native history across four U.S. regions, highlighting centuries of resilience, artistry, and tradition. 

America is turning 250... But here's the thing.
250 years is recent history on this land. Indigenous-led perspectives in our new Native North America Gallery offer nuance and complexity to the nation’s story as we mark its semiquintencennial.
